iD Dunedin Fashion Week
	A splash of colour in the form of special guest designers for the iD Dunedin Fashion Show, Zandra Rhodes & Andrew Logan, provide a refreshingly colourful look to the official opening function of the 2010 iD Dunedin Fashion Week held at the Wall St Mall complex this evening. The opening function marks the start of an exciting week of fashion events in the city including a 'Fashioned Art' exhibition at Gallery De Novo and the Glassons VIP Night - one of over 50 retailers taking part in the Starlight Shopping night on Wednesday evening. Big ticket events for the week are the internationally flavoured iD Dunedin Emerging Designer Awards at the Lion Foundation Arena on Thursday evening, then the iD Dunedin Fashion Show itself which, for the first time in the history of the event, is being run on both Friday and Saturday nights at the iconic Dunedin Railway Station venue....»read more

Moana Pool Bloke Free Triathlon
	Winner of the open category of Race 2 of the Moana Pool Bloke Free Triathlon Series, Johannah Jackson, powers home in the run section with nearly a minute clear of the nearest competitor on the Macandrew Bay course this morning. Jackson led from start to finish in the race coming first out of the water and maintaining a comfortable lead in the bike and run sections of the course. A good sized field were up bright and early for the 8am start on a beautifully fine, sunny and calm day where they prepared for the challenge of either a triathlon course (swim 300m / bike 15km / run 4km), a duathlon course (bike 15km / run 4km), or a "no knees" option of a 300m swim and 15km bike ride.....»read more

Rebel Sport Super 14 Rugby - Highlanders v Blues
	Highlanders fullback Israel Dagg tries to bust through the Blues defence during tonight's Rebel Sport Super 14 round two rugby match played at Carisbrook. In a game that had flashes of brilliance mixed with scrappy error ridden periods of play it was the Auckland Blues that came out on top on the scoreboard with a 19-15 win. A good sized crowd, especially on the terraces, enjoyed the balmy conditions and some promising signs of a good contest with the Highlanders going in to the half time break up by 12-7 after scoring two tries to the Blues one but the second half deteriorated in quality and entertainment as the Blues ground out their first win of the competition....»read more

Collections 09 - Otago Polytechnic School of Design Fashion Show
	Third year Otago Polytechnic School of Fashion design student Anna Holmes-Libbis delights the 600 plus audience at the Collections 09 catwalk show this evening with her collection of Glam Rock stars titled 'WHAM GLAM and the THANKYOU MAMS!'. The show lived up to its reputation as the show piece of cutting edge design from some of New Zealand's most talented up-and-coming designers as models from Ali McD Agency & Modelling School parade the stunnign creations from the first, second and third year fashion design students down the catwalk.
