Highlanders replacement first five Robbie Robinson breaks through a tackle with Jamie Mackintosh and Adam Thomson right behind in support during the Investec Super Rugby match against the Blues played at Carisbrook this evening.
Another good sized home crowd watched a tightly contested dual between two of the top performing teams from the New Zealand conference of the Super 15 competition with Robinson scoring the only try of the game. Unfortunately the Highlanders were unable to overcome the tight Blues defence, not to mention some dubious refereeing decisions that went against the home side more often than not, and it was the Blues who came out on top 15-10 to retain the Gordon Hunter Memorial Trophy.
