| The Rat Pack Returns Live trio entertains a packed Regent Theatre this evening at the Star Regent Variety Concert musical extravaganza that was held to raise funds for the theatre's multimillion dollar redevelopment project.
The show featured local singers, dancers and performers that included Dunedin icons such as the Selwyn Ballet, the Southern Sinfonia, The Verlains, Gladys Hope, opera singers Emma Fraser and Claire Barton with renowned pianist Terence Dennis, and many many other talented performers.

| The show kicks off with the Ghillie Callum Highland Dancers providing the local Scottish flavour to the lineup. MC Doug Kamo kept the show moving along at a cracking pace as well as chipping in with some hilarious skits that delighted the full house. Iconic Otago University dance troupe the Selwyn Ballet had the audience rolling in the aisles with their comedic dance routine. |

| The incredible talent of sopranos Emma Fraser (left) and Claire Barton (centre), accompanied by Terence Dennis, delight the audience with their beautiful solo performances then combined harmonies. Next up on the programme was the lively Dunedin Operatic Society performance that featured Greer Morris-Clarke who played the lead in their latest production Dusty that told the story of the legendary Dusty Springfield. |

No variety concert in Dunedin would be complete without a performance from a band renowned for its classic "Dunedin sound" and the Verlains (left) delivered the goods with their own unique sound. National title winning brass band the St Kilda Brass (top centre) had the audience rocking then they were joined by The Rat Pack Returns Live trio with their classic Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin numbers. Show director Gladys Hope (right) delivered a powerful final performance for the night to wrap up a memorable variety concert.
